»I want to depict movement.« – Norbert Kricke. The important sculptor revolutionized sculpture after the Second World War. On the occasion of the exhibition »Versuch über die Schwerelosigkeit« at the Franz Marc Museum in Kochel am See, we were commissioned to design a comprehensive catalog. The layout picks up on the minimalism of the filigree sculptures. The color scheme deliberately focuses on black and white. As in Kricke’s works, this restrained color scheme is broken up by accents in the primary colors: on the spine, in the chapter boards and a sophisticated gutter in the fold of the text pages. The choice of typography also refers to the sculptor’s works. The »Neutraface« font is classic and clear and embodies the flair of the 1950s. Its narrow, elongated alignment picks up on the character of the artist’s line-based sculptures, with which he succeeds in giving form to the unity of space and time. The publication is published by Sieveking Verlag.
