Diocesan Museum Freising

The two-volume work »Gotik« is an up-to-date catalog of all medieval sculptures from the 13th to 16th centuries from the Diözesanmuseum Freising. This comprehensive compendium is a profound contribution to medieval art and sheds light on the collection from both an art-historical and an art-technological perspective. The publication provides a comprehensive view of this important focus of the Freising Museum. In close and inspiring cooperation with the museum, we developed the layout for this large-format catalog of works in an attractive design. A modern, sans-serif typography was deliberately used as a contrast to the numerous illustrations. All works of art were newly photographed for this project, and we supervised the processing and color fidelity of the images in the repro department. We were also responsible for editing both books. The two-part volume is combined and enhanced by a high-quality sleeve. The publication is published by Sieveking Verlag.
